Technology

Recognizing it is the responsibility of educators to provide a workforce prepared to meet the demands of the 21st century and the ever-expanding digital and wireless world, Alleghany County Schools administrators, teachers and staff are meeting that challenge head on.

Through grant funds and judicious use of local funding, Alleghany Schools has recently completed an unprecedented purchase of computers, wireless devices, iPads, and other devices that are challenging students to become self-motivated, high performing and globally aware citizens. Regardless of socio-economic background, every student has access to technology resources that level the playing field.

Our Technology Plan is constantly under review and updated to make sure ACS is forward thinking and ready for the technological future.  And through ongoing quality professional development, our students will continue to receive the best 21st Century training possible from our educators.
